Gary A. Byers

Is a graduate of Liberty University with a BS and MCE. He also has a MA from Baltimore Hebrew University. His thesis was titled Domestic Architecture in Iron Age I Palestine.

      He is Senior Staff Archaeologist for the Khirbet el-Maqatir excavation (since 1995) sponsored by the Associates for Biblical Research in the West Bank of Israel (Click Here!!!).
       He is also Assistant Director of the Trinity Southwest University's Tall el-Hammam Excavation Project (since 2005) on the east bank of the Jordan River in modern-day Jordan(Click Here!!!).
       Presently, he's an adjunct professor at Faith Theological Seminary (Click Here!!!) in Towson, Maryland. He also serves on the board of directors of the Near East Archaeological Society (since 1997) (Click Here!!!).
       In ministry since 1974, Gary was the founding pastor of Fredericktowne Baptist Church in Walkersville, Maryland and stayed there until 1992.
       Since 1998, he has been serving as Spiritual Life Director, and now Deputy Director, at Helping Up Mission (Click Here!!!) in Baltimore, Maryland. With a series of residential recovery programs, they offer spiritual hope to 500 men struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
